New goal for my life... learn chinese.....
"You'll never learn chinese."  - My mom

So yea, if anyone's computer is chinese compatible and you know some chinese, let's talk. lol  I really wanna be able to communicate with all my relatives next time if I get to go study abroad in Shanghai, 上海。
God I miss Shanghai...  Darn all you who already know chinese.  I'm envious.

I learned a chinese song though, Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin, Moon Represents My Heart, 月亮代表我的心。   I'll be so ready for KTV next time.

So this morning my mom saw her best friend from her youth who see hadn't seen in 26 years.  They had fun talking and laughing it up.  Then my mom and I went across the street to get our hair done.  My mom wanted the same hair cut as one of the guys who worked there.  It took a long time to translate what I wanted.  I wanted blue streaks but apparentally, there is no blue in China.  Only red.  Doesn't surprise me.  So red streaks, ok.  But I need the rest of the hair dyed black since I had black, brown, and green.  Then I had to get them to know I wanted streaks, not something that will blend.  And then the cut, I didn't want bangs or waves or the back cut up short.  And then I found I pic of a girl with long black hair with hot red highlights.  That made things alot easier.  So after I got shampooed I walked out to find my uncle yelling at the people and making a scene.  I was so embarassed and I had no clue what he was saying.  He thought they were ripping me off since I was American.  So finally we settled on knocking off 100 yuen...roughly $12.50. lol.  At all times, there were 5 guys around me (all the stylists were guys and all the girls were massagers)  Man, they had a ball examining my hair.  They were feeling it and trying to figure out the green.  They were so throuwn off by the brown roots, green bottom and then they found the two light brown streaks by my ears.  But mainly, everyone came to see the green.  I felt like I was in a petting zoo.  Even people who didn't work there came and watched.  I guess seeing hair that isn't straight up black is new for them.
Unlucky for me, I liked  the bubble tea my uncle got for me.  Unlucky because I had to go to the bathroom so bad but I was in the middle of coloring.  An hour later I got it washed out and went to the bathroom and guess what I found, a hold in the floor.  I had to, I had no choice.  Ok, climbing the Great Wall, not to bad.  Running track, bareable.  Calc 2, shoot me now, but that type of toilet, hardest thing ever.  I don't understand it.  I do squats and lunges, but wtf was that?!  At least it was clean.
Now that I've disgusted you all.... I saw Star Wars with my cousin and brother.  It was really good, but unfortunately my cousin only thought it was so-so.  That's because he's only seen one other one and had no clue what was going on in the story.  Oh well.
Anyways, I put up more China pics and have a seperate album for Beijing and a few pics of my hair (which didn't come out like the pics, but does it ever?  I'll never get what I want)  But I still like it.  Check out the pics.

Finally back in Shanghai.  It's much better than Beijing. But alas, it is my conclusion that bathrooms throughout China, suck!  Even when we went to a fancy place for lunch with a private room and all this crap, the bathrooms were horrendous!  <--- ???   Anyways, the English tour turned out to be a Chinese tour, but the guide can speak English. lol  I was pissed.  But there were only 7 of us total, 2 other married couples, one one their honeymoon, so she translated to us after.  All the people were so nice.  So we went and saw basically all the main historical sites in Beijing.   My favs were the Great Wall and Summer Palace.  The Great Wall ws breathtaking, even though it was tourists everywhere.  When we got to the top, my brother and I were taking pictures and then some guywanted me to take a picture with him.  But I didn't know what he was trying to tell me. lol  It was a bit confusing, buy yea, anyways.  breathtaking.  I was kinda disappointed because apparentally, the next day was the Great Wall Marathon. That would have been cool to see.
I know there's so much more to tell, but I'm so tired. lol  I've been playing Pokemon on my brother gameboy for over 12 hours now.  I started at 10 and just stopped.   The save file is corrupted so I'll lose everything.  I've come so for, I must go on!  lol
Anyways, all this food is making me sick.  I 'm never hungry anymore, I just need food all the time, like clockwork. It hit me when all the elderly women with no teeth started beating me on the uphill parts of the Great Wall.  Oh well, training hard this summer.  I've a long way to go.  Ok, time to say good-bye.....  Goodbye, Zaijian

Man, shopping is getting boring.  Each relative wants to take us to the really nice places.  It's great to see the lights and all but once we're inside it's all american stores with american prices and there's just no point.  They don't even have clothes I would by if I were in America.  Oh well.  I'm leaving in like an hour for the airport and I should be in Beijing tonight.  Should be fun... I hope.  They said it's going to be cold.  Unfortunately, I brought no warm clothes.  The only thing I have is my CSA (Chinese Student Association) sweatshirt, ironically.  lol   REPRESENT!  When I come back, I'm going to see Star Wars with my cousin Ben and my other uncle.  Did you know they don't have toilet paper in bathrooms here.  Ya, you have to but it from a little dispenser and you get a little tissue pack.  lol

Anyways, I  posted the first set of pictures from my China adventure.
